Kansas trade/merchant token from Hjerpe Brothers Groceries and Meats,  1.75" in diameter, opposite side reads "Good For 1.00 In Trade".  Sterling silver chain mixed with patina brass and copper chains, amethyst and Thai silver beads,  38" long.   1870-1920's saw the highest use of trade/merchant tokens, mostly for promotion and extending credit in rural towns.
