Lee Becker Prints
Prints by Lee --Lee Becker is perhaps best known for her paintings of rare animals in acrylics on huge linen canvasses. Lee also does small works, and her linocut prints are perennial favorites. To make them, Lee carefully carves into a sheet of gray battleship linoleum in a reversal of the design she envisions. Then she hand-presses the linoleum onto artist paper, using a hand-mixed blue-black ink. After a drying period, she either hand-colors the print or leaves it unadorned. The result is an archival one-of-a-kind creation signed by Lee herself. One of Small World Gallery's favorite Lindsborg working artist!
