St. Clement's Church, Rodel
Isle of Harris, Scotland
Unframed archival pigment print
A glowing sunset lit up St. Clements Church at Rodel on the Isle of Harris. Looking south the islands of Berneray and North Uist layered the hazy horizon, complex lands we mistake for being simple. The church was Catholic when built in 1520 but the Reformation ended that by 1560. But the MacLeods of Dunvegan favored the place; the graveyard is full of them.
