Kansas trade/merchant token from J.O. Sundstrom Lindsborg Kansas,  1.5" in diameter, opposite face reads "Good for 1.00 in Merchandise".  Mixed of patina brass chain with domestic turquoise and amber bead additions, creates this 33.5" necklace.   1870-1920's saw the highest use of trade/merchant tokens, mostly for promotion and extending credit in rural towns.
